Postage of Wormers and Flea products
Is your pet due for worming or flea treatment but you can't get to us? You can order these treatments by phone on 01525 373329 and we will post them out same or next day. Credit/Debit card payment in advance. (Conditions apply regarding prescription medicines)
Junior health consultation
Juniors consultations are offered free to all puppies aged around 6-10 months. Our Pet Health Adviser discusses behaviour, neutering, and any other concerns of the normal teenager. Free worming and flea treatments are provided.
Ark House Pet Health Plan
Ark House Pet Health Plan offers clients the opportunity, by regular direct debit payments,to spread the cost of routine veterinary treatment for their pet.
Behaviour consultations and referrals.
Behaviour consultations are available for those pets (or owners) with problems. Debbie Culley, our Pet Health Adviser, is an experienced animal behaviourist who can offer help with a wide range of problems and works together with Hannah Lyon, one of our vets to tackle the most challenging of pet problems. Senior Consultation
Senior Consultations are free and are offered to all dogs aged 7yrs and older and all cats 9 yrs and over. Our Pet Health Adviser examines your pet, particularly looking for problems affecting our older pets, such as lumps, weight problems and stiffness. Blood tests are available at special rates to detect early signs of disease. Worming treatment is provided free of charge
Puppy Parties
A fun and informative way to socialise puppies and to learn how to raise the dog you want to share your life with. Puppy Playgroup is held most Wednesday mornings and is run by our Pet Health Adviser who has behaviour qualifications. The programme comprises four weekly sessions. A worming treatment is provided free of charge. Please call for the next start date!
Dietary advice
Dietary advice is available from all of our Veterinary Surgeons and qualified Veterinary Nurses. For our larger pets we offer Weight Watchers clinics.
Nurse Clinics
Nurse Clinics are held at the Surgery on most days and qualified Veterinary Nurses will clip nails, remove stitches, insert microchips, etc. They will also help and advise on any aspect of your pet's wellbeing.
Pet Health Adviser
Debbie Culley, our Pet Health Adviser is a qualified Veterinary Nurse who is available for all your pet health needs. She coordinates Puppy parties, Junior and Senior Consultations, Weight Watchers ad Dental Clinics. She takes behaviour referrals from around the county.
Weight Watchers Clinic
Weight Watchers appointments offer a weigh in for our larger pets and dietary advice and help from our qualified Veterinary Nurses.
Emergency Out of Hours Service
Our pets should get the same level of emergency care as we expect at A and E. For this reason our dedicated emergency service uses vets and nurses experienced in emergency work, who only work during the nights or weekends and are therefore fresh for any ill animal. Dental Clinic
Dental care is as important for pets as it is for us. Dental check ups with our qualified nurses are free. Many animals require regular dental treatment and check ups are advised every 4-6 months.
Food Delivery
We can supply your pet's food needs as well! A free delivery service for pet food is provided for Leighton Buzzard and surrounding villages. We are able to deliver wormers and flea treatments as well. Payment can be made in advance by credit card. Please call 01525 373329 to order your food.
Specialist Soft Tissue Surgery
We are pleased to offer the services of a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Specialist in Soft Tissue Surgery. This enables us to provide the latest surgical techniques for sick pets. We also accept referrals from other practices. Please visit our link page to access Professor White's webpage.

Reminders by Text or email

Microchip Special Offer November and December - only £12.99
Give your pet the best chance of being returned home if lost. A microchip inserted under the scruff contains a unique number. If your pet is lost he/she is likely to be taken to a Veterinary Practice, Rescue Kennels or Dog warden where routine scanning would reveal the chip number.
